You can leverage your learning style to help you more effectively manage time! Here’s how it works:

For Visual Learners

Are you a visual learner? That means you will want to see time.

  • An analogue clock, that is a clock with a face and hands, is beneficial for people with ADHD. You can more easily see time lapse.

  • Liquid timers are visual and often appeal to people with inattentive ADHD, as they tend to move slowly.

  • Sand timers are often effective for people with hyperactive-impulsive ADHD because they move quickly.

  • The Taylor Multi Alert Digital Timerlights up and vibrates, making it ideal for visual learners.

For Auditory Learners

If you are an auditory learner, you will want to hear time.

  • Set alarms on your phone to serve as reminders.

  • Ask Alexa or a digital assistant for a reminder.

  • Ask a friend or co-worker to remind you when it's time to go to a meeting or wrap up a task.

  • Create a song loop or an activity playlist. A familiar timed song acts as an auditory clock and will cue transitions, helping you to move more easily from task to task. You can create a dopamine loop by repeating the same song. Time your routines and match the energy of the song with the task at hand.

  • Mentally rehearse what you have to do in a day and speak it out loud.

For Kinesthetic Learners

If you are a kinesthetic learner, you will want to feel time.

  • Set your Smart Watch to vibrate to feel alarms and notifications.

  • Use a wristband with a wearable timer that vibrates.

  • Wear an armband that you can slip your phone into to vibrate, especially if you move around a lot on the job.

  • The X-Wlang 3 in 1 Alert Timer vibrates, beeps and flashes, making it easy to notice.
